Trust Disruption
Scale for Partners
Rebuilding trust after betrayal—especially sexual betrayal—isn't just about time. It's about honesty. Consistency. Safety. And the slow reweaving of emotional connection.
But how do you really know where things stand in your relationship?
This short assessment can help.
The Trust Disruption Assessment
This 20-question assessment was designed for individuals whose trust has been deeply shaken by betrayal—such as infidelity, secret sexual behaviors, or compulsive pornography use.
Each question targets a key area where trust may have been damaged:
-
Emotional safety
-
Honesty and transparency
-
Sexual fidelity
-
Lingering emotional pain
You’ll answer using a 0–4 scale, from Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree. The higher your total score, the more likely it is that trust is being rebuilt.
What You'll Learn
At the end, you’ll receive a total score that falls into one of three ranges:
-
Severe Trust Disruption (0–26):
Trust feels shattered. You may feel hypervigilant, overwhelmed, or unsure if healing is even possible. The emotional impact is likely affecting your day-to-day functioning.
-
Moderate Trust Disruption (27–53):
Trust may be forming in moments—but it's fragile. You may experience ongoing waves of doubt, emotional reactivity, or feel stuck between hope and fear.
-
Low or No Trust Disruption (54–80):
While betrayal may still leave its mark, you’re likely seeing signs of healing. Honesty, safety, and emotional reliability may be returning to the relationship.
